K, not to be an idiot.

How do you transform the words into links? Or make cut links say whatever you want?

Well, I copy the table source and then put an html link tag in front of the word. Or, you can copy the link to your story post from the address bar, then highlight the word you want to make a link of in the table source, then use the link function on lj and paste the address in the small window that pops up. If you click "Okay", the link should be there and working :).

Another way to do it that's more labor intensive.

Note: replace [] with < >

To make text links:

1. Edit the post that has the table in it so you can see all the html code.
2. Scroll down to the prompt you want to link (we'll use #1 for ease of use)
3. put [a href="http://web.address.ofmyfic.com/"]Beginnings[/a] around the name of the prompt, leaving the other code alone. If you want to get fancy, you can put [b]bold[/b] or [i]italics[/i] or [u]underline[/u] around the text like so:

[a href="http://web.address.ofmyfic.com/"][b]Beginnings[/b][/a]

But make sure you change the square brackets to angle brackets or it just won't work.

as for making cut links say what you want: type [lj-cut text="Tunnel Rat vs. Godzilla"]
